Meet Our Team
We strive to work closely with referring and primary care providers. We take great pride in communicating our treatment plan with the rest of your medical team. We are always looking to make great, new relationships!

Dr. Richard S. Plowey
Dr. Richard S. Plowey is a board-certified Neurologist and Interventional Pain Medicine Specialist who has served the Western Pennsylvania region since 2008. He completed medical school at the Drexel University College of Medicine and completed his Neurology residency and Interventional Pain Management followship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He has been the medical director of Keystone Pain Consultants and Interventional Spine Specialists since 2015. Dr. Plowey has a strong background in a wide range of chronic and acute pain conditions, and employs a multidisciplinary, minimally invasive, and compassionate approach. He holds a special interest in neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion stimulation. He is extremely proud of his team of medical and administrative professionals who create a high-quality environment of medical care, professionalism, and customer service. He otherwise enjoys time with his family, traveling and golfing.

Dr. Karthik Dwarki
Dr. Karthik Dwarki is a board-certified Anesthesiologist who started his career in the City of Champions as an undergraduate at University of Pittsburgh (H2P!). He went on to attend medical school at George Washington University and completed his Anesthesiology residency at the Allegheny Health Network. After finishing residency, he went on to complete a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Baystate Medical Center. His career path has included many different accomplishments including multiple research projects, starting an apparel business with profits going towards charity and even on stage as an amateur stand-up comedian. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.

Katie Cushma PA-C
Katie Cushma is a Certified Physician Assistant currently working in interventional pain management at Keystone Pain Consultants in Washington, Pa. She also has previous experience in Orthopedic Surgery, with a concentration in spine. Katie graduated with high honors from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Sciences in 2016 after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from the same institution in 2015. She has been working in pain management since 2016.

Brittany Kloes PA-C
Brittany Kloes is a certified Physician Assistant working at Keystone Pain Consultants and Interventional Spine Specialists. She graduated with honors from Kent State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Slippery Rock University in 2020. Brittany joined our practice as a new graduate and has been with us since June 2021.

Heather Goodhile CRNP
Heather is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. She studied undergraduate nursing at Washington and Jefferson College and Duquesne University. Heather graduated in 2007 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she worked for seven years as a critical care nurse at UPMC Shadyside CTICU. While obtaining her Masters at Duquesne University, Heather worked for an additional three years at Magee Women’s Hospital. She graduated with honors in 2016 with her Masters in Science-Family Nurse Practitioner degree. She joined Keystone Pain Consultants in 2017 and has spent her time here treating and managing patients with a wide range of chronic and acute pain syndromes. She is passionate about helping her patients receive the best care and treatment in order to maximize their quality of life.
